Provide formal training andsupervision of graduate student trainees. Participate in assessmentof quality of services and consumer satisfaction as well as campusmental health care needs. Maintain relationships with campus careproviders, administrators, faculty, staff, student advisorcommittee members, and community-based mental health careproviders. The work of the counselor is complex, requiring a broadrange of skills in individual and group therapy, case management,clinical supervision, consultation, and awareness of mental healthlaws in Montana. The counselor’s work is consistent with the Codeof Ethics of the American Counseling Association and the policiesof Curry Health Center.This position does not supervise any UM personnel. However, it is apart of a clinical training team that provides individual and groupsupervision for student interns from the fields of counseling,social work and psychology. These students are generally fromgraduate programs at the University of Montana, though on occasionstudents from other universities are considered. On occasion, thisposition may provide supervision to Professional CounselorLicensure Candidates on staff.The counselor will become proficient in an electronic health recordand practice management software system titled Medicat. Learn toeffectively utilize an outcome measure titled College CounselingAssessment of Psychological Symptoms (CCAPS).
