Sony Pictures CEO Says ‘Door Is Closed’ for Now on Spider-Man SplitMarvel Censors Criticism of America From Marvel Comics #1000 Stay on target Just a few days ago we not only got a new trailer for Avengers: Endgame but also the announcement that tickets were now available for purchase for the April 26 premiere. As you might expect, legions of fans flooded sites like Fandango to reserve their place in the theater and watch this era of the Marvel Cinematic Universe conclude as soon as possible. As you also might expect, with so many people so eager to see the rematch between Thanos and Earth’s Mightiest Heroes, there just weren’t enough tickets to go around. Folks had to wait in virtual lines for hours and still wound up empty-handed. And now some eBay users are taking advantage of this desperation by offering Avengers: Endgame tickets at ludicrously high prices. It’s classic ticket scalping. Buy a bunch of tickets to a popular thing at regular price and sell them at a mark-up to take advantage of rubes who are afraid of missing out more than they are afraid of going broke. Head over to eBay and you’ll see auctions for Endgame tickets starting at $500, $2,500, $10,000, or even $25,000.It’s happening for theaters all over the country, from New York to Florida to Nevada. Some prices become ever so slightly better when you realize they are for groups of tickets. Some of these tickets are also for the gargantuan 60-hour marathon of the entire MCU so far, 22 movies back to back. But it’s still absurd. The “free” shipping almost feels like an insult. We get it. After 11 years we’re just as excited to see how the MCU all ends as the next person. But save your money, don’t reward scalper behavior, and maybe just like wait a week if you can’t see Avengers: Endgame on opening day.
